For avid Facebook users, there’s a well-known lawyer known as Martin Beck Nworah (The MBN). Before attaining prominence on Facebook, he was only known as someone who drops funny and enlightening comments on other people’s post. However, after a while, it was discovered that beyond his funny side and all, he is a very intelligent person, to say the least. On his personal profile and also his Facebook page, he shares posts that are life-changing, eye-opening, awe-inspiring, mind-blowing (the adjectives are endless). From relationship advice, life hacks, tips for young men, his reservoir of knowledge is almost limitless.
Conversely, all these are not what made him really influential. His influencer status stems from the fact that he does not hoard his knowledge like some would hoard palliatives. Rather, he is always willing to share his experiences and his mistakes to ensure that others learn from it and do not repeat these mistakes. What is certain about this guy is that he is well-to-do and it would not be personally detrimental to him if he doesn’t share these experiences, after all, he had to learn them the hard way. But he does all these because he understands that the greatest impact a man can have on earth, is when he/she impacts the lives of others. Mind you, he is not the only one. There are others who would be alright if they don’t share their experiences and advice on social media. Still, they do. It could be for clout, it could be for money, or it could be the spirit of altruism, one can never know. But what is undeniable is the positive impact. Emphasis on positive. The impact, words and pictures can have on others are inexplicable. The layers are deep, multifaceted, and labyrinthine. There have been instances where an unaware picture of a person lifts the person’s mood, simply because someone was thoughtful enough to do that.
What have you as a creative, a person in whose brain lies endless stations of creative trains, what have you done to impact the lives of others? On Mental Health Day, what did you do to show those with mental health issues that you are standing solidly with them? On Writer’s day, what did you do to appreciate the writers who have impacted your life and to inspire those who are battling with self-doubt? Those flyers should not be restricted to Father and Mother’s Day only. Of course, they are important, but there is a bigger picture. And that picture will not become a masterpiece if we are not ready to apply our brush on the easel. God has blessed you with this gift of creativity, not just for you to have an impact on your financial situation, but also to contribute your quota to world stability, no matter how small. In closing, this phrase from an English hymnal should be constantly remembered. “Only remembered for what you have done…” Likewise, “People believe that a little action when one time travels into the past could alter the present. But they don’t believe that a little positive action in the present could alter the future, positively.
”There are endless ways in which creativity can impact the lives of others. Just the way you cook up fascinating designs and all, you can also cook a fascinating impact.”
“Just the way you cook up fascinating designs and all, you can also cook a fascinating impact.” This paragraph echoes! Cook a fascinating impact!
