Jaden stared at the calendar in disbelief. He rubbed his eyes, not believing what they were showing him. It felt like just yesterday when he made the decision to take that leap. The one where he dropped his comfort zone, started that business, to chase the career he knew would change his life.
But now? Now, it’s almost 2026.
He couldn’t remember when it happened. Was it the all-nighters he’d pulled? The late-night brainstorming sessions where his mind felt like a million thoughts at once, but none of them were ever enough? The countless hours spent scrolling through what others were doing, wishing he could have done it sooner? One minute, he was starting out, and the next, he was looking at the present and it felt like everything had passed him by.
He could almost feel time breathing down his neck, like it was laughing at him. Time wasn’t his friend. It didn’t care if he had tried. It didn’t slow down for him, even when life got hard, when the grind became relentless. No, time just kept pushing forward. Unforgiving. Unstoppable.
It keeps moving. Time doesn’t care if you’re overthinking. It’s not waiting for your healing arc. It’s not stalling for your fear. It just moves.
And you? You’re either moving with it or you’re getting left behind. One blink, and it’s graduation. Another blink, and that opportunity’s gone and you’re scrolling through your own life in memories, wishing you had started when the dream first whispered.
Time is merciless. It doesn’t slow down for indecision. It buries the unready. It forgets the talented but inconsistent. It rewards the bold, the focused, the ones who get up even when it’s not convenient.
So, what’s it going to be? Another year of waiting for the perfect moment? Another season of blaming your past, your parents, your pain? Or are you finally going to build something? Create. Heal. Launch. Write. Apply. Post. Share. Thrive.
No more excuses. No more hiding behind “I’m just figuring it out.” Figure it out on the way. Time is moving. And the future has come. Could be your breakthrough. Could be your burial. You decide.
Jaden suddenly remembered his father’s words when he was struggling with his JAMB, “One blink my boy, and its 2026”. That time is almost here, and he is proud of how far he has come and how well he utilized the words of his father. Maybe if he were alive, he’d have more words for him. But he’d cherish those words and next year he’d celebrate all round because, he made it with God bringing him this far.
Let’s go!
Time waits for no man, lets go🔥
