Bezalel Design Academy, in partnership with the Bells University Students Association (BUSA) at Bells University of Technology, Ota, has announced plans for the Bezalel Creative Conference 2026, a flagship gathering set to challenge conventional notions of creativity and prepare young talents for relevance in a rapidly evolving global economy.
The conference, scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026, will take place at the BUPF International Conference Centre and is expected to attract over 400 participants, including students, emerging creatives, designers, freelancers, and innovators from across the country.
With the theme, “The New Wave: From Talent to Value Creation,” the organisers say the conference is designed as a timely response to structural shifts within the creative industry. They note that as digital tools become increasingly accessible and execution more automated, technical skill alone is no longer a sustainable competitive advantage.
Instead, emphasis is shifting towards value creation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving as the true differentiators in today’s creative economy.
Positioned as more than a conventional conference, the Bezalel Creative Conference is conceived as a forward-thinking platform aimed at raising a new generation of creatives who go beyond producing visually appealing work to building sustainable systems, solving real-world problems, and delivering measurable impact.
According to the organisers, the initiative is structured to equip participants with the mindset, frameworks, and practical insights required to transition from talent-driven practice to sustainable enterprise and leadership.

“The future belongs to creators who build value,” the organisers noted, emphasising that while talent remains foundational, it must now be complemented by the ability to create sustainable solutions, generate economic outcomes, and drive meaningful change.
The programme will feature keynote sessions, live case breakdowns, interactive discussions, exhibitions, and curated networking opportunities. Participants are expected to gain exposure to entrepreneurial thinking, leadership development, and actionable strategies for building scalable and profitable creative ventures.
The conference will also engage critical industry conversations around the rise of artificial intelligence, increasing global competition, and the demand for measurable results. Organisers maintain that while artificial intelligence will continue to shape the future of work, creatives who remain limited to routine execution risk being displaced, making adaptability, originality, and strategic insight indispensable.
Through its curated sessions, attendees are expected to develop clarity on value creation, learn how to convert creativity into sustainable income, strengthen their leadership capacity, and position themselves for long-term growth.
Described by its conveners as a movement rather than a one-off event, the Bezalel Creative Conference aligns with the Academy’s broader vision of repositioning creativity as a driver of enterprise, leadership, and societal impact.
As anticipation builds, organisers are calling on young creatives to engage deliberately with what they describe as “The New Wave”, a generational shift where creativity is no longer judged by aesthetics alone but by its capacity to create real, measurable value.
With this initiative, Bezalel Design Academy continues to reinforce its commitment to shaping a new generation of thinkers, builders, and leaders equipped to thrive in an increasingly competitive and dynamic global landscape.
