Ah, the life of a creative soul! Well, becoming an upcoming creative is a bit like being a juggler with one too many balls in the air. It’s thrilling, exhausting, and occasionally involves one of the balls bouncing on your head which may or may be a good sign.

5:00 AM – Alarm Battle: The day starts with the blaring sound of the alarm, which might as well be a personal enemy. You hit snooze like it owes you money, grabbing a few more precious minutes of sleep. Those dreams of literary fame or artistic triumph can wait a bit after the sleep, right? Eventually, you roll out of bed, hair looking like a bird’s nest.

7:00 AM – The Over-Ambitious List: Armed with coffee, the lifeblood of any creative, you sit down to write out your to-do list for the day. Today, you’re going to write 3,000 words, design a new logo, update your portfolio, pitch to five clients, and do a little bit of home exercise all before noon. Spoiler alert! This is not going to happen but you have to aim high cause, why not?!

9:00 AM –Great Procrastination: Instead of beginning your tasks, you find yourself watching YouTube tutorials on how to perfectly chop an onion. You’re not sure why. Also, you don’t even like onions to begin with. But it’s mesmerizing and engrossing. One video leads to another, and soon you’re deep into the world of trending dance videos. Time well spent.

11:00 AM – The Creative Flow: Suddenly, inspiration hits! You grab your pen, open your laptop and start working furiously. Words, sketches, ideas flow effortlessly, and for a glorious hour, you’re in the zone. You’re not just an upcoming creative; you’re the next big thing in the making.

2:00 PM – Lunch Debate: You come out of your creative era, stomach growling with lunch decision hassle. You decide to eat bread and eggs which is the most convenient and available food in the house, also, less time consuming as your head is still in its hyper creative phase. It’s a delicate time to reminisce over the just concluded progress while hiding the fact that you’re still in your pajamas.

3:00 PM –Creative Block: After the meal and its overly accompanied break, this is the part of the day where you hit a wall. You stare at your screen, trying to continue from where you stopped and waiting for the ideas to come again. They don’t. You try everything; a walk, a snack, more coffee, a quick nap. Nothing works. You start to question your life choices and consider a career in something more stable, like dermatology, but you remember your face needs treatment first.

5:00 PM – Outburst of Productivity: Just when all seems lost, another burst of energy and inspiration hits. You dive back into your work with renewed energy, your earlier doubts are forgotten as you stir up amazing content, confident that you are indeed on the path to greatness.

6:00 PM – The Social Black Hole: With the bulk of your work done, you decide to take a quick peek at social media. Hours later, you’re deep into a Twitter argument about the best way to treat your partner and watching Instagram reels of cats. You convince yourself this counts as “networking.”

8:00 PM –False Productivity: Feeling guilty about the wasted time, you struggle to finish something, anything, before the day ends. You adjust your website, doodle a bit, maybe even organize your desk. It feels productive, even if it’s not exactly what you planned.

10:00 PM –Unwinding: Finally, you call it a day and ease off with a book, movie or more social media scrolling. You reflect on the day’s highs and lows, and despite the chaos, you’re proud of what you achieved. After all, the life of a creative is a rollercoaster, and you’re in it for the ride.

Midnight – The Bedtime Insight: Just as you’re dozing off, the best idea ever pops into your head. You quickly jot it down half-asleep yet excited. Tomorrow is going to be different, you promise yourself. Tomorrow, you’ll conquer the world.

And so, the cycle continues. The struggle continues but with increasing discipline, you get closer to attaining the goal. You sure can do it. You can be that famous creative you’ve always dreamt off.
