The story of Thomas Edison and his numerous attempts before getting the creation of the bulb right has become cliché, let’s not overflog it. You’ve probably attended multiple motivational events, seminars and webinars; that leaves us with no need to repeat those quotes that you’ve most likely heard ad nauseam; “The E at the end of Time stands for Energy,” “Determination is key,” and so on…

You must have read a lot of self-help books, financial advice books and motivational books. Yeah, I know. “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki easily comes to mind, I know. (Light Chuckle). However, as much as we want to wallow in the self-created pit of inferiority complex, the importance of having an ample supply of confidence and a noticeable lack of self-doubt can never be overemphasized.

“Audacity wins you everything.”

This quote will be the theme of our discussion.

There are a million people out there doing the same thing as you, who might have better dreams than you, better training than you and whatnot. But with audacity, you easily stake your claim on why you should be regarded and not shelved to the back when great people are mentioned.

Audacity is what made Elijah conquer the prophets of Baal. It’s one thing to have the power or skills, it’s another thing to show that you deserve that power or that you are a pro at that skill.

Most people on social media, especially X, don’t like Daniel Regha, yet his impressions and views are always soaring. Why is that? Audacity! He doesn’t drop his opinions like he’s unsure of them, he doesn’t drop his controversial takes like he’s waiting for you to validate them, and he doesn’t air his mind meekly. Not at all!

He does everything with audacity. So as much as people don’t like, his audacious aura is gradually etching his name on the sands of social media.

Then, there’s you. You who knows that on a good day, there are few creatives who can go toe to toe with you. Why then are you allowing yourself to be submerged by the tumultuous waves of inferiority?

Write that article today with audacity, believe me, it’s well crafted! Hype those designs with loads of dust in your portfolio, believe me, they are extremely well-detailed. It deserves to see the sunlight on the streets of social media.

The famous American Rapper, Marshall Bruce “Eminem” Mathers was well-known among the underground rap artists of his time, yet he wasn’t as famous as someone of his skill should be and this was despite him already releasing an album.
It was not until he placed second at the Rap Olympics that he was finally noticed by award-winning producer, Dr. Dre and the rest, is written on the pages of Wikipedia.
If he wasn’t audacious enough to compete at the Rap Olympics, the rap game wouldn’t have witnessed the revolutionizing and groundbreaking works he did.

As long as you’re surfing on the ocean of creativity, let that audacity radiate around you.
You might not be as good as you want to be, but you’ll get there; however, if low self-esteem thrives over you, you might not get there. Be proud of your efforts and let that fuel your audacity.

Be Audacious!
